Free Domains
November 2nd, 2005 by Jake
Domain extensions aren’t always so serious, sometimes they can be fun. The last time I can remember was when the Italians opened up their extension, “.it”. You can imagine what kind of funny yet odd domain names were created from that. Now, they are introducing, yes, for free, .be domains. Things such as Wanna.be, Free.be, and Gotta.be are already taken. Want a .be domain for your own? Click here to register.
Update: They’ve finally allowed the free registration with free nameserver change. Check it out at http://www.e3internet.ru/
Well, I’ve taken my 10 for now, maybe I’ll try and get some more later on. Here they are:
- spikex.be
- halflife2.be
- cpu.be
- l33t.be
- bigblueball.be
- bios.be
- too.be
- esoh.be
- gadda.be
- ms.be
- goooogle.be
Remember, these aren’t final, someone else could have beat me to one of these (the registration page warns you that none of these are final, and tehir whios info could be outdated), but as far as I know, it works.

Then you wait until The Belgium Registry aproves the domains. Then they will email you yet again and let you know if your domains were approved or denied.
Surf around the site, they should answer some questions you may have.

I think you have to pay after one year without pay. I wouldn’t do it if I were you.
